The Workplace Safety Management Practices (WSMP) programme helped to implement safe working practices through ought New Zealand for 15 years. Its discontinuation was announced in 2017 as it no longer aligned with NZ’s Health and Safety Regulations.
Transition from WSMP to ISO 45001:2018
Replacing WSMP is the long-awaited Occupational Health and Safety Management System (45001:2018) created by ISO. It is the first internationally recognised framework for healthy and safe work environments, combining best practices from around the world. With 10,000 Organisations already certified and over 500,00 Organisations expected to take up this Standard within the next decade.
The scope of the management system incorporates the Organisations context as well as expectations of Interested Parties.
